RG flows and thermofield-double states in holography

چکیده
A bstract In this article, we consider a Renormalization Group flow of the Thermofield-Double state in UV-complete description Holography, by introducing relevant deformation to $$ \mathcal{N} N = 4 super Yang-Mills theory at strong coupling. This RG-flow is known have non-trivial, interacting 1 fixed point IR. Geometrically, an TFD-state naturally continues radially and inside black hole event horizon yields Kasner-structure near singularity, as has been observed recent works. We show that for generic value deformation, putative IR remains certain sense. By fine-tuning “fixed point” can be brought arbitrarily close horizon, while always remaining inside. Physically, distinguishes between vanishing temperature limit RG-flows with one exactly zero temperature. further discuss its general implications context including study recently-proposed Holographic -function, especially interior hole. also how correlations two-copies depend on explicit RG-flow.

RG flows and bifurcations
Interpreting RG flows as dynamical systems in the space of couplings we produce a variety of constraints, global (topological) as well as local. These constraints, in turn, rule out some of the proposed RG flows and also predict new phases and fixed points, surprisingly, even in familiar theories such as O(N) model, QED3, or QCD4. © 2017 Published by Elsevier B.V. متن کاملCounting RG flows
Interpreting renormalization group flows as solitons interpolating between different fixed points, we ask various questions that are normally asked in soliton physics but not in renormalization theory. Can one count RG flows? Are there different “topological sectors” for RG flows? What is the moduli space of an RG flow, and how does it compare to familiar moduli spaces of (supersymmetric) dowai...
متن کاملLocalized Tachyons and RG Flows
We study condensation of closed string tachyons living on defects, such as orbifold fixed planes and Neveu-Schwarz fivebranes. We argue that the high energy density of localized states decreases in the process of condensation of such tachyons. In some cases this means that ceff decreases along the flow; in others, ceff remains constant and the decreasing quantity is a closed string analog, gcl,...
متن کاملComments on cosmological RG flows
We study cosmological backgrounds from the point of vue of the dS/CFT correspondence and its renormalization group flow extension. We focus on the case where gravity is coupled to a single scalar with a potential. Depending on the latter, the scalar can drive both inflation and the accelerated expansion (dS) phase in the far future. We also comment on quintessence scenarios, and flows familiar ...
متن کاملCorrelation Functions in Holographic RG Flows
We discuss the computation of correlation functions in holographic RG flows. The method utilizes a recently developed Hamiltonian version of holographic renormalization and it is more efficient than previous methods. A significant simplification concerns the treatment of infinities: instead of performing a general analysis of counterterms, we develop a method where only the contribution of coun...
